About Kerri Ligatich
I live in a tropical rainforest and often use flowers and foliage in my work. I'm in love with the beauty, healthy lifestyle and Aloha spirit I found in Hawaii. My work also includes ocean scenes and my favorite, "Honu", Hawaiian Green Seaturtles. I grew up in Oregon and that is where my art education began. I was blessed to be taught by many great artists. I love to take a technique and explore new creative ways to use them. Adding gold leaf to my watercolors is another favorite of mine. Later I taught many classes myself in Hilo, Hawaii. I just love this watercolor...so simple, but beautiful composition, color, balance, texture....and that "something else" that makes a person want to look at it over and over again.
